The recommended height to install the Pinch Machine is your height + 15cm (6 inches).
So for example, if your height is 182 cm (6 ft) -
Measure 182 + 15 = 197cm (or 6' + 6" = 6'6") from the floor to the bottom part of the machine's rear plate.
Please check our installation instructions for more info.
If people of different heights will use the machine (e.g. in climbing gyms), the recommended installation height is 180cm (5'9") from the floor.
There are 3 options for hanging the Pinch Machine:
1. Using our pivotal mount
Pros: Allows rotating the machine left or right by 30 degrees. The best option for an "ergofficient" elbow posture.
Easily switch the pinching hand without detaching the weights.
2. With our portable fixed mount
Pros: Easy to slide the Pinch Machine in / out and fix it on a preferred angle.
(0 degrees if using a single mount, or up to 30 degrees if using two mounts mirroring each other).
3. Without any mounts - Attach the Pinch Machine directly to the wall
Pros: Our cheapest option.
Cons: Not portable, the Pinch Machine stays fixed to the wall with a 0 degrees angle.
The maximal load allowed to hang is 60kg (132 lbs),
which feels like 42kg (99 lbs) in pinching ability.

No!
The Pinch Machine is not designed for hanging.
The Pinch Machine can be installed on a concrete element, break wall or a wooden beam.
If you're not sure about the strength of your wall, please consult a professional before installation.
Isometric contraction is a static contraction of the fiber muscles. Because climbers grab all the holds in a static contraction while climbing, it's the best stimulation when training for climbing.
Eccentric contraction occurs when the total length of the muscle increases, as tension is produced. It's a proven method for tissues rehabilitation.
With the weight reduction handle you're able to train for maximum isometric pinch strength, or eccentric contraction.
When pulling down the handle with the non-pinching hand, you're able to temporarily reduce the weight from the machine's "arms". Doing so enables you to pinch the machine's arms in the isometric/eccentric way and slowly release the weight reduction handle, so the weight is shifting back to the pinching hand.
Please check out our training protocols (https://www.lobsterclimbing.com/training-protocols)for more info.
The Pinch Machine width varies from 6 to 12cm (2 ²³/₆₄ to 4 ²³/₃₂ inches) pinch thickness, making training accessible for different palm sizes, and modifiable to your own training preferences or protocols.
Since the Pinch Machine is made of wood and moving parts, it is not recommended to hang it outside.
Hanging it outside can damage the operation of the machine.
